Permanent exhibition about the Bastide

Come and visit the permanent exhibition about the Bastide : models of the town , the Bastide's history in Aquitaine and the evolution of the city , old photographs , celebrities and its importance in Protestantism .
Several pieces of pottery and mosaics of the XIX th century are exhibited too. The exhibition is free during the opening hours of the Tourism Office.
Prehistoric Museum "Charles Nardin" (at the first floor of the Tourism Office)
There are collections and reproductions of tools and daily customs used during the prehistoric age .
Pieces of pottery , stone cuttings... help you to understand the evolution of the human spirit . It's truly an astonishing and interesting museum .The visit is free during the opening hours of the Tourism Office.
The River and the Wine Museum ( Port Ste Foy )
The River House houses the Inland Water Transport Museum , the Wine House of the Sainte-Foy -Bordeaux appellation and the Cellar of Montravel vineyards . On the river bank , in a house of the XVIIIth century ; the objects and mementoes are an integral part of the scene .
If you visit the Inland Water Transport museum , you'll discover the old life of boatmen on the river Dordogne :models of ships , a diorama showing the harbour at the end of the XIXth century , old objects , documents , cartographies , the development of activities and of fluvial tourism .

The Oilcan Museum

You will be astonished by the beauty of these original examples of tin , brass , copper , castings , glass , aluminium , made in truly attractive designs .
Found in workshops , cars , bicycle bags , drawers of sewing machines , amongst pass of hanvesters, used proudly by the mechanics of steam engines , these exhibits have followed and also illustrated the technical evolution of the last industrial revolution , from 1850 to 1950 .
This exhibition will permit you to learn more about this period ...with more than 5000 pieces classified by theme . There is something here for everyone 's taste :from the oilcan and other, lubricating devices , to oil and spirit lamps...
